Our Story

It Started on a Folding Table

Asé & Sage is spiritual self-care you can actually do. No rules, no perfection, nobody telling you that you’re not spiritual enough.

Asé & Sage ritual kits on the market table where it all started

How It Started

Asé & Sage began on a folding table. Black Wall Street in Seattle, the summer of 2024. I sourced the stones, mixed the blends, and packed the first kits by hand, then sold them one at a time to people who walked up. That first batch sold out. So I made more, took them to the next market, then did a pop-up after that.

The kits went out under the family name, Asé & Sage, before the rest of the family had names of its own. It grew from there.

I started this because so much of the wellness world felt locked behind a velvet rope. Like you needed the right teacher and the right words to be let in. I never bought that. Taking care of your energy shouldn’t work like that.

So the kits hand you everything and walk you through it. You don’t need any experience, and nobody’s judging. You open the box and you begin.

With love,

Making Spiritual Self-Care Accessible

Most wellness spaces do one of two things. They talk over your head, or they charge a fortune so you can feel spiritual enough. We don’t do either. We take rituals with deep roots, put them in plain language, and hand you real tools with zero pressure. You belong here either way.

What We Believe

Accessibility

No gatekeeping. Every kit tells you exactly what to do, and you need no experience to start.

Respect

These practices come from somewhere. We name where, and we source with care.

Honesty

We tell you why a ritual works, in plain words, so it actually does something.

You First

Forget perfect. Just show up for yourself, a little at a time.

Where These Practices Come From

Smoke clearing, energy work, ritual. None of it started with us. It’s rooted in ancient and Indigenous traditions that people have carried for generations. Traditional smudging is a sacred Indigenous ceremony, so we call our own practice smoke clearing. We name where it comes from, we buy our sage from the Winnebago Tribe of Nebraska, and we practice it in a way that honors where it came from.

Our Family of Brands

One House in a Family

Asé & Sage is one house in a bigger family. Ode to Onyx is the jewelry. A Space Inside is our sanctuary in Seattle, a third place built for the BIPOC community. Regulated Rooms holds the nervous-system work, the sound baths and the breathwork. All of it comes from the same place. We want to give people tools they can actually use.
